- What about that friend who’s convinced you that doing Pilates is the best form of exercise and now you need to seek out Pilates trainers who can give you some ideas on exercises?
- Or, perhaps you’ve just started a small business and need to follow business influencers on ways to grow your business.
Creating a list on Twitter means creating a list of ideas or topics you want to keep a close watch on. If you are using social media to promote your small business, then referring to your Twitter List for posting ideas, graphics, or current events relating to your business will help in creating good content for your platforms.

Here’s your step-by-step guide to creating a Twitter List
Step One
On your laptop or desktop, go to your Twitter page and click on your profile in the left column.
Step Two
Click on “Lists”, which is found directly under your profile picture at the top of your page
Step Three
You will see a button that says “Create a list” on the right side of the page. Click on it.
Step Four
You will have a box appear asking you to create a name for your list and then add a description for the list you are about to create. The List Name you select should be reflective of what your list is about (ie. “Italian Chefs”, “Tai-Chi”)
The description should be a sentence about what you are listing (It is not necessary to write anything in the description).
Step Five
Next, be sure to select if you want this list to remain Private or Public.
Step Six
Select the button that says “Save List”
That’s it! Easy right?
Here’s How to Add Someone to your Twitter List?
When you find someone who is posting tweets that you like and want to add them to one of your lists:
Step One
Click on their username
Step Two
Click on the three small dots at the top right-hand corner of their profile page
Step Three
Select the link that says “Add or Remove from List”
Step Four
You will see a box pop up that includes each of the lists you’ve created. Just select where you want that username to appear. If you want to create a new list for that topic, then click on the “Create a list” button.
Now, every time you want to see the latest tweets from those you are following, then simply go to your list at the top of your profile, click on List you are looking for.
